VII.10.6 Pompeii. December 2005. Entrance doorway, with threshold or sill.
VII.10.6 Pompeii. December 2005. Looking east across shop towards doorway to rear room.
In the north-east corner of the shop-room (on left) can be seen the remains of the base of steps to upper floor.
According to Amoroso, the floor of the shop was simple cocciopesto, whereas the rear room’s floor was the same flooring made with scattered polychrome pieces, similar to the adjacent atrium (of VII.10.5), of which this room had once been part.
The walls of the two rooms were plastered with plaster without colour.
